World Book Day Observed under the Motto "let’s Read in Palestine" at Al-Zahraa University


Under the aegis of the General Secretariat of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein and the supervision of the President of Al-Zahraa University for women, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, and in the presence of representatives of the holy shrines of Imam Al-Hussein and Al-Abbas, officials of a number of government institutions and the private sector, academic figures, faculty professors, and a group of female students, the Central Library at Al-Zahraa University for women, in cooperation with the Arabic Language Safety Unit, organized the World Book Day Festival in its third edition, under the motto: Let's read in Palestine, today, Monday, 5/6/2024, in the central conference hall
The festival’s segments included: reading a verse from the Holy Quran, Al-Fatiha for the souls of the martyrs, and the national anthem, then a speech by: The President of Al-Zahraa University for women: Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, and the Director of the National Library and Archives in Baghdad: Mrs. Ishraq Abdel Adel, preceded by a video presentation about the book House, and the expert on international exhibitions at the Holy Imam Hussein Shrine: Mr. Maysar Akram Al-Hakim, and the Assistant Director of Relations and Media at the Martyrs Foundation: Mr. Muhammad Abdel Karim, and an official Sales at Dar Al-Warith Printing and Publishing: Mr. Ali Bassem. A video was also shown about the activities of the Central Library and another about the most important figures
who visited it. In conclusion, the figures and institutions that donated resources to the library and the pioneers of the library were honored and on the margin of the festival, an exhibition of books and drawing was held.
